“The Children’s Rights Council of Illinois is a non-profit organization lead by parents who share a concern for the development and well-being of children from non-traditional families like their own. We provide insight to stakeholders and leaders on the impact public policies and established practices have on children of separated parents in Illinois. We also educate the general public on the importance of adopting family-friendly approaches to the unique issues facing these at-risk children. Through our advocacy network we promote the adoption of recognized ‘parenting best practices’ for separated parents and other family-friendly outcomes of the separation process.”
